Gas price articles are abuzz in the news, as are road trip ideas. USA Today's hotel blog reported on bedandbreakfast.com offering gas price rebates if you stay with select accommodations across the U.S. Not a bad deal.
Four Peaks Inn in Breckenridge, not only offers a gas rebate upon check-in, they note how carpooling (read: roading tripping in groups) can save you even more money.
My last two articles were on road trip planning tips and gas and money-saving tips for road trips. Other than bed and breakfasts offering rebates, I wonder how other travel industry suppliers will respond to the gas hikes? Can we expect increasing rates on airfare? Bus fare? Trains? Boats? Ferries?
Biodiesel offers a great alternative to fossil fuels, and seems to be a growing trend. Treehugging celebrities think so, too. I wonder how long it will take to offer lower cost methods of transport.
Thoughts? Solutions? Tips?
At minimum, if you want to save money on gas by road tripping with a group, TripHub's free travel planning tools can help.

While we're not listed on here, our bed and breakfast in Montana, The Fish Creek House offers gas rebates from Thanksgiving to Christmas. Hang your hat and come on in!
